Mark Anderson on why technology can amplify but never replace face-to-face connection in real estate.

Over 3 decades, I’ve slowly watched the integration of tech in real estate. Although, I believe it can never replace the power of in-person connections, especially when high-value items like vehicles and real estate are at stake.
Call me old school and a big believer in the power of handshakes, human connection and a memorable meeting, I think it helps agents build trust and understanding, showing genuine effort and concern for those we’re selling to and for.
In-person meetings allow for real-time adjustments, tailoring our approach to each client’s needs. It also allows us to provide immediate clarity and reassurance, whereas digital communication can often feel impersonal and delayed.
Tools like CRM systems, video conferencing, and mobile apps can amplify in-person interactions, offering real-time insights and engagement. And while emails and social media have their place, they often lack the emotional depth and immediacy that face-to-face interactions deliver.
I believe in blending digital tools with the emotional power of personal connection to ensure every client feels valued and heard.
Every fortnight I filter the listings, price movements and sales worth noticing, then explain what they reveal about the local market. No broad Perth commentary. No automated estimates. No sales noise. What The Triangle is.
